Thought for this day 2024 12 3
Yeah, it was actually yesterday as we were watching the movie "The last Mohican" staring Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeleine Stowe, published around 1993, when as quite often happens when I watch an old movie I get re-interested in the ppl making it. So while I'm watching, or during the advertisement breaks, I google the ppl performing to increase my overall knowledge about them...
The thing about Daniel D-L was that it was either earlier in the day, or maybe the day earlier, I saw a photograph on Tik Tok of him in a line up of 50 actors who were said to be Jewish.
Now to me D.D-L had always been an accomplished Irish actor and when his image came up on Google it said of him, quoting what he was reputed to have said, the words: "(I'm) probably an agnostic and unlikly to change".
Which is to say quite at variance to the earlier impression one had formed from the Tik Tok vid, and an aside about what is going down in the world at present with 425 day Genocide being commited against the Palestinian ppl? But in order to pursue it further I went to his Wikipedia write-up where I also read that his mother's ancesters were Askenazi jews who, during the 18th or 19th century, immigrated from Eastern Europe, from Poland and Latvia, to Great Britain, where he enjoyed going to school and studying drama at a college in Bristol...
That's it! So much for social media giving one false information, or not so much false, as wide of the mark in its relevance to current affairs. Reinforcing my understanding of taking most of what one reads these days with a pinch of salt? If you catch my thought for this day, hahaha!!!
