No, many times I have talked about this flirtatious
side to my personality and the way I have explained it to myself as simply that
for the most part I prefer female companionship to that of males: words also my wife likes to echo from time to
time too!
And anyone reading my blogs will know why I say this
again because I have written about it so many times I don't intend to rehearse
these explanations any more. But rather I wish to come back to the young lady I
featured as the last pic of my last blog and in a sense the last episode which
would perhaps fit my blog title for this day, as she was an 19 year old when we
met whilst I was coming up to 75 which is to say she was on the threshold of
blooming into a most attractive young lady, from being a bit gawky, whilst I
was on the point of becoming seriously old and no longer having any of the chat
that a younger man displays: full of confidence in his knowledge of that what girls want to hear, etc., etc., etc...
Two further circumstances are needed to complete
the background to the action I am about to describe: 1) she unlike me wasn't on
holiday for she had recently started work as a beater for grouse and deer
although she was staying in the same youth hostel which for the most part was
filled with holiday-makers though other work people like the two footpath
repairers I have also recently described also used the hostel for inexpensive
accommodation purposes...and 2) because of her long stay nature and my use of
the hostel as a base with several visits to bothies in-between times then a
return to the same town and same hostel, I got to keep bumping into this young
lady let us call her K...
The first pic I featured then was after meeting her
for the second time leaving for 2 nights away in a bothy and then returning and
meeting her a second time again when I had been walking in the same hill area
as where she had been out beating with her hunting estate people. Then the next
time after another forage into the hills for a couple of nights then a return
to the same hostel when we would bump into each other early afternoon before
the hostel opened its doors and when she invited me to join her for afternoon
tea a very British thing for 2 people one a male English person, me, the other
a female Scots person, K. More usual however would be the man inviting the lady
rather than the other way round…
Then I would meet my nephew-in-law for a sumptuous
dinner together before a day on a hill before he would depart for home and I
should stay on for another night in a bothy for still another hill whilst for
my last night I would get to stay at a bunkhouse where she would in the
fullness of time get another job whilst I would leave from there for home here in Scandinavia...
Well I have written earlier in 2015 about Miss S
for anyone so interested and because of our sharing a love of hill-walking and the
outdoor life perhaps therefore we became friends on f-b for a time and
corresponded but maybe 9 months later before I got to make a third autumn visit
she would perhaps be just that bit closer her more full flowering when
at the same time I would appear even more wilted hahaha. Whatever the reasoning
I would exceptionally become unceremoniously unfriended whilst she would seek
work elsewhere when her hill working was cut short owing to a hiccup (I hope!) in her
health…
Have a good day everyone as I think with this
rather different type of concluding blog to my autumn 2015 visit we shall move
on to a later year for the next one..?
