Re-visiting old old ground..? 17 12 27 (16) 25 2 16

Now my guess is that everyone at least in the developed world knows right off to whom this refers..? Which says a great deal about his ego, nothing so big or as important we poor lesser mortals should take note..?

Of course if we consider recent history, say the last 100 years there have been a good few other examples of such people who couldn't be questioned, people like Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong to name but a few and who are interestingly still revered in some of their their home countries, at least to the extent that some of their leaders even today refuse to tell their people the truth about them, for fear perhaps of they themselves being reined in as a consequence, in the manner of Mikhail Gorbachev maybe in the closing days of the USSR..?

But when we discussed this person round the dinner table over the festive season when my wife and I were joined by the H-K family of our eldest son his Japanese wife and their 2 sons of joint British and Japanese nationalities, it was Sa who hails from Japan who pointed out that at least the people of the USA have the reputation for expressing their disenchantment with such people..? that this is most certainly true is the good news and one can only hope it will remain so in these troubled times..?

Their boys have lived here in Scandinavia all their young lives and still have the option to choose one of the Scandinavian nationalities we the older generations appear to favour which is a nice aside: that they can chose at least from three nationalities when so many countries today appear to want to start erecting barriers again to keep the foreigners out..!?

Well I remember reading about the United Nations and of how it came into being with people like Eleanor Roosevelt drawing up its charter in the immediate aftermath of WW ll and having a great deal of good sense to contribute to the proceedings, which appears to be rather lost on some of that country’s leadership since then? So to read in this morning’s papers that the US is slashing its contribution to next year’s UN budget by more than US $285million because the UN Security Council voted 14 against, to 1 for, for Jerusalem becoming Israel’s new capital says much to validate what the world is thinking about this man, who then rubs his hands to compliment himself on how much money he will be saving..? Now it would appear official “Money has become the new God.”

All I can say is that hopefully good sense will in time prevail and in the interim the rest of the countries making up the Security Council will cough up the short fall the US action will create, and little by little the guy responsible will be brought to book..? So far the media have been quiet on the subject it would appear but let us hope our daughter-in-law is correct and that the people of the US will in the fullness of time take suitable decisive action…

I had other ideas for a blog on this the 27th day of the month a day in the month which in recent years has taken on a more special meaning for me, and for the most part I have tended not to make my blogs political in any obvious way, but then maybe the times they are a-changing in this sense too and one must be careful not to keep too low a profile when such momentous decisions are in the making and being played out for some of a narcissistic personality disposition that begs to be treated in a corrective way?

Have a good day everyone and if you think I am beginning to lose the plot too please then shout about it too, hahaha.

A man whose only sense of history is that of himself..?17 12 27 Seven yrs ago he got his way re-housing the US Embassy to Jerusalem but let us see whether he now gets his way cleaning out the poor Palestinian ppl out of Gaza and their historic homeland: the God of Money delivering for him, whilst the Zionists, sporting their ill begotten kippahs, claim the land for God's chosen ppl?
