Just another beautiful day..? 2026 3 11
Yeah, but how many more has one a right to expect when the world at present is so full of suffering and strive, so much bloodshed in the middle east, and in many of their once sacred places???
Here in Finland, we its ppl are just emerging from one of the worst winters in a good few years: 2021 when I last walked any distance on frozen ice visiting our out-lying islands, in more usual days only seen across the sea!
And its ppl I'm going to venture to say more friendly than usual, since we have shared the experience of the cold climate together: cars usually no time to stop at Zebra Crossings, now slowing down in good time, and stopping even though the zebra stripes are unseen covered, by snow and ice...
When I am reminded that in these northern climes of Norway Sweden and Finland it is the strong community spirit which contrives to hold us closer together, never more apparent than in the depths of winter?
Today with social media such as X formerly Twitter, Tik-Tok, You-tube and others, the main stream media outlets are increasingly being bypassed for not telling the narrative the way that in reality it is: the ppl everywhere seeking out the truth, so long hidden by the ppl calling the shots, spoon-feeding us their right-wing stodge, instead of the meat of what's really going down in the world...
One example is where i take my lunch twice a week at this Pizzaria run by a Jordanian man and his Finnish wife said to speak Greek together where they met the man speaking a range of languages Arabic, Greek, English, Finnish and Swedish for starters, a nicer person as rare as the collection of languages you can find in one person. Whom, thanks to another Muslim man, an American of mixed ethnicity each of a different hue I'm gonna say, got me interested in this man sufficiently for us to be able to discuss what going down in the middle east. When yesterday after our latest exchange of a few words, I got to see his newscasters, the same ones I have been following on my social media outlets, which he I thought was introducing me to, though his commentators it transpired are the same ppl.
So whilst the Western Main-stream Media gives us one take on the situation, our social media gives us a very different take and suffice to say I am hoping the one on the social media is nearer the truth!
Watch this space for a footnote in a few days weeks time for the then perceived wisdom of what actually went down...
